Там же Роланд встретил свою первую и единственную любовь Сюзан Дельгадо. Этим событиям посвящён рассказ Роланда о своей юности, составляющий основную долю 4-го тома Тёмной Башни – Колдун и Кристал (Wizard and Glass). На момент действия романа феод Меджис состоял в Альянсе на протяжении пятидесяти поколений.
